    Well It's Been A While Hasn't It?

Tuesday, October 21, 2008, 11:11 AM CST [General]

I'm still alive....I just haven't really had anything to write about in a very long time. I'm still sort of in a quandry about where my path is heading but I'll write more about that another time. I really do need to get back into the habit of writing here though because I really love the fact that others here are Pagan and I don't feel the need to censor what I say here. I'm not sure how often I'll update this blog but I will try to write more often than once a year from now on :D. I can't promise I won't open another can of worms like I did about the Christian bashing (you have been warned). But I shall attempt to be a bit more tactful in my opinions.

OMG I Knew This Would Happen One Day

Saturday, April 28, 2007, 01:36 PM CST [Rants]

Warning if you are easily offended by my blunt honesty stop reading now.

If I ever had any doubts about leaving Witch School far behind me a few years ago they were put to rest today. I subscribe to the Witch in the City podcast and her latest was on the "Rise and Fall of Witch School". She did not go into a lot of details about what has been going on there she just mentioned that one of the leaders of that site had put the school up for auction on Ebay. That makes me so mad I could spit nails. I have a permanent account there which would give anyone who buys the site access to my personal information. I believe I will try to contact them and have my account removed from the site because I have no desire for my e-mail and other information to be sold to someone who I don't know.

I did some digging online after listening to the podcast to find out what's been going on there since I left. Apparently the internal politics of the "leaders" of the Correllian Nativist Tradition have gotten worse since I left. If anyone who reads my blog is familiar with Witch School you may understand why I feel the need to start over with the basics since you probably know the quality of the lessons there are not what one should expect from one of the largest online Wiccan Schools around.

Bah I'm too ticked off to write any more today.

    So Far I'm Impressed

Monday, April 9, 2007, 01:26 PM CST [Spirituality]

I have read the first few chapters of Christopher Penczak's "Inner Temple" and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. It's well written and quite informative. There are a few things he says that I completely disagree with such as his assumption that Witch and Wiccan are synonymous. I do not subscribe to that particular theory at all. However, just because I disagree doesn't mean that I don't think the book is good. I have not gotten to the chapters where he actually has the lessons so I'm not ready to say that this is definitely going to be the right direction for me to take my path. It has held my interest long enough for me to at least give this system a chance before I say it's not for me. If nothing else I will have a nice reference book for the basics of Witchcraft regardless of my disagreement with the author's opinions.

As I said before, right now I am just reading through the books without actually doing any of the exercises or "homework" in them. Once I get started with that I will probably be able to write more entries on how I'm doing with this particular path and how I feel about it. Once again anyone who is interested is most welcome to join my discussion group at Yahoo if you wish to join me in studying these books. The link for the group is on my profile page.

    Hehe..I'm Such a Dork!

Sunday, April 8, 2007, 09:07 PM CST [General]

When I get excited about something I turn into a big kid *grins*. I decided I'd like to have like minded people who are interested in studying these books to join me in a Yahoo group so I created one. I would have created a group here at Covenspace but I am old and it's hard for me to learn new things LOL. I like the format of Yahoo groups so that's what I'm sticking with for now. I was not aware there was a Yahoo group for studying The Inner Temple already until I read my comments after I already made my group. I suppose if there is no interest in my group or I think I will have time to be involved in another group I could hunt that one down and join it as well. If you are interested in joining my group you can find the link for it on my profile page as well as the bottom of this post. My only requirement is that you have the book or can purchase it within the next month or so. I tried to put the link to join on this post but that didn't work very well. So you will have to look on my profile page to join :).
